Kelvin "Punchy" Mallory

Kelvin Clyde Mallory, loving known as “PUNCHY”, was born to the late Robert Step Mallory and Pauline Davis Mallory. Kelvin died on December 30, 2016 at Vidant Home Health and Hospice, in Greenville, North Carolina after enduring an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Raleigh Mallory. Kelvin grew up in Garysburg, North Carolina, but upon graduating from Gaston High School, he eventually settled in Whitaker, NC after his marriage to Blondell Silver. They were blessed with two childern. Kelvin was employed Texifi in Rocky Mount, NC for many years until the plant closed. Kelvin was a humbled and kind man who loved his wife and family. His quite, peaceful, and mild disposition often preceded him. Kelvin enjoyed visiting and conversing with family and friends. One of his favorite pastimes was playing spades with his wife, family, and friends, in which he would oftentimes come off as the winner! Kelvin also loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was also very proud of his children. Kelvin was from a large family, he loved all of his brothers and sisters. He knew each of them on an individual basis and dealt with them accordingly. Kelvin had a special relationship with his nieces, nephews, many cousins, and friends. Kelvin had a kind and loving heart, he felt compassion for people. He enjoyed bible reading and bible study with Jehovah’s Witness. He often talked with people about what he learned about Jehovah God and Jesus Christ. He regularly attended congregation meetings at the Kingdom Hall; even during his illness, he made the effort to be at the Christian meetings, assemblies, and conventions. He also loved spending time with the friends in Jehovah’s organization, he was so happy when he gave his first talk on the “Christian Life and Ministry” meeting. In the midst of his illness, Kelvin ALWAYS pushed ahead. He was without a doubt a FIGHTER TO THE END!!!! Kelvin was confident in Jehovah God’s promise of a resurrection by means of his son Jesus Christ. (John 5:28-29) Kelvin is survived by his loving, supportive, and devoted wife, Blondell Silver Mallory, two loving children, Shantia Mallory (Donnie) and Kelvin Chada Mallory (Whittany) all of Rocky Mount, NC; ten grandchildren, K’shaad, Jaiden, Vijay, Khylil, K’Ajai, Romeo, K’syn, Isys, Joi, and Jaleel; four brothers, Robert Mallory, of Hillside, NJ, Stanley Mallory (Voncile) of Bronx, NY, Alexander Mallory (Mary) of Bronx, NY, and Curtis Mallory of Garysburg, NC; four sisters, Parmarie Mallory, Dorothy Mallory both of Garysburg, NC, Phyllis Cheatham (Donell) of Weldon, NC, and Janice Mallory (Michael) of Great Mills, MD; A special mother-in-law, Rubell Silver and father-in-law, Elbert Silver, Sr both of Enfield, NC; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Silver of Rocky Mount, NC and Pauletta Mallory of Westbury, NY; one brother-in-law, Elbert Silver, Jr of Enfield, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
